Lenton Pub Restoration

A derelict pub in Lenton located at the Castle Boulevard round about could be brought back to life. They are also looking to build student flats above and behind totalling 38 rooms.
A derelict Victorian pub that closed down seven years ago could re-open - with new student flats built at the rear.
There are plans to revamp The Grove pub and turn the upper two floors into apartments and student studios. A three-storey extension would be built at the rear, creating 38 bedrooms in total.
Once described as "one of the finest ale houses" in Lenton, the pub, at the junction of Castle Boulevard and Grove Road, is currently boarded up.
Property investor Sam Burt, who is behind the scheme, said: “We are planning nice, high quality accommodation for postgraduates.
“We will keep the pub and would love a good local independent to run it. The bar is still in there and all the original features on the ground floor.”
The plans will be considered by Nottingham's planning committee.
"It would take a year to build and the pub would be open for Christmas next year," added Mr Burt.
